From a customer e-mail:
I am interested in the Sky wig by Ellen Wille. I have purchased Copper Glaze from Noriko and Rene of Paris and wanted your recommendation on the closest match.
Alas, there isn't one -- as is often the case when you try to move from one brand to another.
Copper glaze is a very pretty medium-dark copper/auburn color. Like most of the ROP / Noriko reds (with the exception, perhaps, of Cayenne Spice or Irish Spice), this one is fairly subdued and natural-looking.
The Ellen Wille line has a completely different color aesthetic. The color combinations tend to be very fashion-oriented with lots of bold highlights and contrast colors, not the kind of subtleties you would see in nature.
That isn't to say that the reddish options in the Sky by Ellen Wille don't have Noriko / ROP cousins, though! It's just that none of the ones in this wig are as subtle as Copper Glaze.
Ellen Wille's Safran Red looks A LOT like ROP's Burnt Sienna-R, except Safran Red is even more intense!
Ellen Wille's Auburn Rooted looks A LOT like ROP's Garnet Glaze, except with more dramatic highlights and a darker root!
Ellen Wille's Tobacco Rooted looks A LOT like ROP's Almond Rocka-R, except with slightly more highlighting!
Ellen Wille's Chocolate Mix is NEARLY IDENTICAL to ROP's Ginger Brown, except it is just a smidge warmer!
Ellen Wille's Hot Mocca Rooted is A LOT like ROP's Ginger H, but with less pronounced highlights and a dark root.
