From a customer email:
Is it just me, or does JR have better permatease than Noriko? It is frustrating, I like the styles and colors of Noriko the best but they are way too tight and have to many kinky permatease fibers showing.
I don't know if Jon Renau permatease is necessarily better, but they tend to use a lot less of it per wig than Noriko does.
Noriko specializes in wigs with a LOT of volume and layering. They are HEAVILY reliant on permatease to maintain their shape -- and this should be considered a key feature of any style from this brand.
Jon Renau, on the other hand, generally tends to specialize in monofilament or lace front wigs. Because of this, they know that their clients don't want as much volume, so they don't incorporate as much permatease as Noriko.
In both cases, this choice is made in direct response to their customer demands. :)
